Tutorial Steps



VPN Connection Setup : Step 1. Open the Control Panel from the Start Menu & double click on the Network & Internet Connections item
VPN Connection Setup : Step 2. Under Networking and Sharing Center, Click on "Connect to a Network"
VPN Connection Setup : Step 3. Next, Click on "Set up a connection or Network"
VPN Connection Setup : Step 4. Select the "Connect to a Workplace" item at the bottom of the list and press Next >
VPN Connection Setup : Step 5. You will be asked, how do you want to connect? Select "Use my Internet Connection (VPN)"
VPN Connection Setup : Step 6. In the box labeled Internet address enter IP address provided in e-mail. In the box labeled Destination name enter "Bananavpn", Unselect the first two check boxes and select the box "don't connect now, just set it up so i can connect later" Press Next >
VPN Connection Setup : Step 7. Now enter your Username, password, check "Remember this password" and press Create.
VPN Connection Setup : Step 8. The screen will show, "The connection is Ready to use" Click the "Close" button to return to the "Network and Internet" screen.
VPN Connection Setup : Step 9. In the Network and Internet screen, click on "Connect to a network" again.
VPN Connection Setup : Step 10. In the Connect to a Network screen, you should see the Bananavpn connection that we have set up. Right-click on the Bananavpn connection and choose "Properties" from the menu that appears.
VPN Connection Setup : Step 11. Click on the "Options" tab. Make sure the checkbox labeled "Include Windows logon domain" is NOT checked.
VPN Connection Setup : Step 12. Click on the "Security" tab. The security option should be "Typical", "Require Secured Password" and ONLY check "require data encryption"
VPN Connection Setup : Step 13. Click on the "Networking" tab. In the list of items that you see, make sure that only the "Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4)" and "Client for Microsoft Networks" items are checked. If other protocols are checked, uncheck them by clicking on the checkbox.
Note:. To use L2tp/Ipsec , go the Networking Tab of the VPN properties and change the "Type of VPN" , then click "IPsec Settings" and enter the pre-shared key: secureserver
