Tutorial Steps



VPN Connection Setup : Step 1. Download the Windows client software from OpenVPN's website and double click the file after it has completed downloading.

VPN Connection Setup : Step 5. Confirm the location to install OpenVPN. We recommend that you do not change this setting. Click Install to continue

VPN Connection Setup : Step 8. Select whether to enable auto-login. This means that you will not be required to enter your username and password everytime you connect to iVPN. Although very convenient, there are security risks associated with this option. The username and password will be stored in a plain text file that anyone with access to the computer can read. Click Next to continue.

VPN Connection Setup : Step 9. If you selected autologin, please input the username and password you received in your email and click Next to continue. If you did not select autologin, you will not see this screen.

VPN Connection Setup : Step 10. Installation is complete. click Finish to continue

VPN Connection Setup : Step 11. Start iVPN by clicking the iVPN start menu shortcut or the desktop shortcut

VPN Connection Setup : Step 12. You should see a small tray icon (Dual red monitors) - This is the iVPN GUI interface

VPN Connection Setup : Step 13. Right click on this icon and select a server to connect to and click Connect to continue

VPN Connection Setup : Step 14. Enter your iVPN.net username and password. Your username is in your Welcome email and starts with the characters 'ivpn'. If you have enabled autologin, you will not be asked for a username or password.

VPN Connection Setup : Step 16. Connection successfully established! You are now protected by the iVPN network

VPN Connection Setup : Step 17. If you wish to verify that you are connected, navigate to www.infosniper.net where your current location will be shown on a map. If this is not your expected location, please view the troubleshooting notes in the knowledgebase.

VPN Connection Setup : Step 18. To disconnect, right click on the tray icon and select the connection and click Disconnect to close the connection
