There is no need to tell the extent of Internet Censorship in China, everything is blocked in there including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, MySpace, Flickr, Gmail, Hotmail(unstable), all top international news agencies websites and everything and anything that has ever criticized or tried or even thought of criticizing ‘China’.
So what’s left is actually a cluster of clones of the world’s top websites including all social networking to gaming websites, govt. controlled news agencies, govt. monitored free email services, govt. controlled search engine and a govt. controlled living being in China.
That’s horrible! Right, Yeah it is! Now what we can do to bypass all this internet censorship,
- Proxy: All proxies are generally blocked in there.
- Tor: It’s anonymity and security is almost compromised, Chinese can intercept it easily. Don’t dare try it!
- DNS: Only applicable for not DNS poisoned websites.
- Mirrors: Only applicable for static websites. Are usually out dated.
- VPN: Yes! But not all!
- Luck: 100% but not reliable. Yes, we have seen our Chinese friends bypassing great firewall of China occasionally without any circumvention tool.

Now, when VPN is the choice, let’s touch upon our first question!
What are the factors that you should consider in a VPN Service before ordering it from China?
It isn’t easy to find a stable and reliable VPN Service in China. Please do not complain if you experience occasionally instability or disconnection, that’s the basic cost of using VPN in China. It is a cat and mouse game.
Now, what can we do make it somewhat reliable for us? Consider following factors,
- Do not go with VPN Service that has been DNS poisoned and their DNS has not been changed, you can follow this post to keep yourself updated with DNS poisoned VPN services.
- Do not go with VPN Services offering PPTP or L2TP VPN Protocols only. They won’t be reliable for sure.
- Go only with VPN Services that also offer SSTP/SSL VPN or SSL/Open VPN as these protocols run on HTTPS port, as these ports are impossible to be blocked (unless VPN Service being DNS poisoned) so you won’t face much issues.
- Search for that particular VPN Service on different websites to look for the reviews by Chinese Customers or discuss it with any representative of Bestvpnservice.com via chat or email, we will share whatever info we have on that particular provider.
- Ask you for recommendations from your friends about what VPN Service are they using currently.
- Avoid having a bad luck!!
Hopefully after evaluating all these factors you will end with one good VPN Service that will help you bypass great firewall of China longer than any other service. It’s time to answer our second question.
Why VPN orders from China are being rejected?
It’s fairly simple; you guys don’t put in correct data!
- If you are a Chinese Citizen and trying to fool a VPN Service, do not try to fool them, they have some good systems to catch the fraud. Enter in your correct billing and credit information.
- Do not enter any information that contradicts your current IP location. If you are in China, give your Chinese Billing address.
- Do not place order while you are on proxy, if the VPN Websites have been blocked and you cannot access them without some proxy, look into answer to question 3.
- There are also a lot of fake, spam and fraud orders from China, so you need to look into your information twice before it gets rejected.
- Moreover, most importantly, VPN services now do ask for verification of your orders via submitting any document that will validate your name. Do verify yourself in order to successfully complete the order. Your information is never shared with anyone else!

- Avoid all points discussed in Question 2.
- If you have to be on some proxy to order VPN from China. Do not try your luck! Your luck will fail you as your order won’t be accepted.
- Try to access our website, which is usually not blocked in China (fingers crossed). Try our emails or Chat and ask us for the way you can contact a specific VPN provider or order a VPN service while being on proxy.
- We will provide you with the email ID of the VPN provider or will email them on your behalf that they will receive an order by such and such person, while he/she will be on proxy, kindly accept that as they cannot access your website without proxy.
- Or, ask your trusted friend or relative to order it with their CC and information from outside of China. They will provide you with the account after it is being delivered. Do not forget to pay your friend back for the favor!!
- If you are looking to travel to China, then you should order VPN before leaving for China, it will be a lot easier for you this way.
